A follow-up from last week's Speak Out article.
By YTCCBrain@AOL.COM
========================================================================

Last week, we took a poll on if you thought Microsoft was violating anti-trust laws or not. We had an unbelievable turnout of responses when we took this poll! 410 people participated in this poll. We would like to give you the results and some opinions of what people thought of this situation.

43% of the people who took the poll chose "A. I think Microsoft is violating Anti-Trust Laws."
30% of the people chose "B. No, I don't think Microsoft is violating anti-trust laws."
20% chose "C. Undecided."
and 7% chose "D. Other Opinion."

Here's what some people had to say about this case:

As usual, Microsoft is not playing fair. They have used this practice to threaten and harrass major makers of computer systems, such as Gateway 2000 and Compaq. At one time Microsoft threatened to cut of Compaq's license for not using Internet Explorer and adding Netscape Navigator instead. Nowhere when I bought my current computer (one year ago) did I have the option to NOT install IE. They have even tried to get Apple into the game, but fortunately there are enough of us loyal Mac (I have a PC at home and hate using it) users that also use Netscape Navigator / Communicator. Microsoft should really clean up it's snotty, I'm the richest developer, deceptive practices soon! I am not pointing the finger at Bill Gates himself, but at the company as a whole for doing such a thing.
- JREUT59@AOL.COM

And here is another opinion:

Does it matter? Microsoft is a company doing business. They created an operating system and if you do not like it, use a different one. I believe it is their right to create software to work with their other software. I find people will use what they want. It is your choice, so use what you want and lets move on to solve the real problems of the world and not some silly browser problem.

Thanks for the great turn out of the poll this week! We are looking forward to having another poll in the near future! In the meantime, have fun and stay safe! :-D

Up-to-date information on Sega's new system "Dural".
By YTCCByte@AOL.COM
========================================================================

As many know, Sega is creating a brand new system codenamed "Dural". However, some hot information has just come to our attension: Microsoft and Sega are supposevely in talks to create a 128-bit system! This would be skipping 64 bits which is supposely going to be the next greatest thing! This could bring Sega back to life since the company is fighting off some lawsuits, and that it broke off a merger that was supposed going to happen earlier this year.

The system would be using PowerVR's 3D Graphics technology, which is one reason why Sega is in a lawsuit with 3Dfx. Originally, there was a possible deal with 3Dfx to use their chipset rather than PowerVR. If the rumor about the 128-bit system is true, who knows what will Sega become! Also Sony is also possibly coming out with a new system cleverly titled "Playstation 2". Although Sony is keeping all the information on that confidential, it is said the system would be 64-bits. Knowing Sony, this may not be the case.
