opinion center results: Windows 98 . . .

Last week we had an opinion area devoted to Windows 98 (code named: Memphis), the upgrade isn't going to be a huge renovation of Windows 95. Windows 98 has some new toys, but is mostly a product that will keep your Operating System on the cutting edge. So we asked you, the reader, if you felt that the upgrade would be worth it. (See the YT News Archives for the full topic) Here is what you some of you had to say!

Some people are looking forward to the New Product such as Opal Life:
From: Opal Life

I personally like Windows 95 a whole lot...but it does have alot fo drawbacks..but I think it's good qualities over rule it.
I would seriously consider upgrading to 98, but if the cost is alot, it's not worth it. I would also wait to see what other people think of 98, before upgrading to it myself

-Angie

Some people wanted another huge change:
From: Ladie B2

No, I probably wouldn't buy win 98 because it doesn't sound like it's to to much difference than 95 although I do like win 95. In order for me to buy it, it would have to be a major difference like win 3x to win 95.

But most people didn't feel the need for the upgrade:
From: LynnShadow

No for me I do not think it is worth it, if that is all they are offering, besides that I have just got most of the glitches worked out with Windows 95 and am finally feeling comfortable with it, why in the word would I want to put myself through that again with another newer is better program that in reality isn't.
