express yourself: Windows 98 . . .

Many of you have heard of Microsoft's planned release of Windows 98 (code name Memphis). Windows 98 will be updating Windows 95. But a few rumors have grown by word of it's new release. This upgrade isn't planned to be as huge of a transition as Windows 3.x to Windows 95 was. In fact, Microsoft even told shareholders and the public not to expect to much from this new release.

Inside Windows 98 lies a pack of the most up to date drivers and the current MS browser (IE 4.0). Other than that, users will not notice too much of a change from their current Windows 95 setup.

Some new fun items are being thrown into the package. One surfaces as a biggy, is that Windows 98 can support up to 8 monitors that will allow you to split up your desktop into different screens. You can even put one application into one monitor while keeping another application up on the screen in another. Plus a few tricks have been added into the desktop that further integrates the Operating System with the Internet.

What do you think? Would you buy the upgrade, and if so how much do you think it is worth? Join us and other avid Youth Tech Newsletter readers in expressing your opinions on Windows 98.

geek humor: Now, Why is That?

Tell someone that there are 400 billion stars, and they'll believe you. Tell them a bench has wet paint, and they have to touch it.

If "Con" is the opposite of "Pro" then what is the opposite of PROGRESS?

Why is LEMON JUICE mostly artificial ingredients but DISHWASHING LIQUID contains real lemons?

How much deeper would the ocean be, if SPONGES didn't grow in it?

Why do we wash BATH TOWELS? Aren't we clean when we use them?

Why do we put SUITS in a garment bag, and put GARMENTS in a suitcase?

Why doesn't GLUE stick to the inside of the bottle?

Do Roman paramedics refer to IV's as "4's"?
