Think About It!: Microsoft to the Rescue for Apple!?

Just recently, Microsoft decided to make a pass at Apple's market in the computer industry. Recently, Microsoft has decided to invest $150 million in the ailing computer maker. The result? Apple's stock went up $6.56 and Microsoft's raised 12.5 cents.
Would Microsoft do this just out of the kindness of their hearts? No, they want something! Microsoft said that they will continue to produce software for the Mac as a sign of their "commitment."
But that's not all they want. Apple has agreed to make Microsoft Internet Explorer the default browser for the Mac. Microsoft Internet Explorer (a.k.a IE) seems to be taking a great stand everywhere, and this is another strike to the gut for the defender, Netscape. Netscape will still be available to the Mac, but new Apple systems will now ship with the IE browser as the default.
What do you think? Should Microsoft be allowed to do this? It seems as if they are getting just a bit too much of the market lately, and now they are opening the gate to Apple. But in return, will this help Apple get back on track?

You Know It's Going To Be A Long Call Tech Support Call When...
-- You ask for their name and phone number and all you get is silence.
-- You ask if they have a Pentium and they reply, "No its a Vivitron!!!" You rephrase the question, and they say, "Oh, I know, I have a 28.8...."
-- You ask if they have Windows 95 or WFW, and they say, "Whatever came with the computer.."
-- You ask them to restart the computer... they say, "I've never restarted my computer before. I read in a magazine not to do that because it could wipe out my hard drive." You gently reassure them that it'll be okay, then you mute them and laugh hysterically.
-- You say your spiel and say... can I have your name please and you hear... "Hi.. I am eight years old and my dad just bought me my very own computer. My parents thought I needed more memory so can you help me install all 64 mg...and can you make my Epson scanner transfer scanned bitmaps onto my zip drive. I have a resource conflict with my com port I, and my modem won't connect me to the Internet video game line in under three seconds. Are you ready to begin???"
-- "PRESS "C" TO CONTINUE...should I do that ???? Oopps.. I pushed the "Q" TO QUIT. Can we start over???" Then after the fourth time... you say, "Hold one finger over the "C" key and DON'T TOUCH THE Q...."
