Perhaps you've been thinking about redesigning your personal webpage or wanting to add a bit more excitement to your design -- We compiled a simple starting list of ideas to keep in mind when working on your Personal Webpage. Here are some tips and tricks for web pages! *Don't use too much BOLD or Italic: Using too much stylized text all over clutters the thought and will lose the emphasis to thoughts you really want to convey. * Be Creative: Be unique and creative when making your page. Alot of pages on the internet are all the same. Try something new for a change or some different kinds of art to express originality *Make Things Organized: Sometimes pages aren't organized enough. Take for example a club web page. It would be better to put the newsletters together than to scatter them through the web page. *Easy to get Around: Making your web page easy to navigate will make it easier for people to see your web page in its fullest. *Make it Fast!: Compress your graphics when possible. People don't want to stay looking at a screen saying "loading" for hours! *Make the Page Interesting: Use a variety of quality pictures, icons and backrounds. Do we have an interview special for you! Your honorable and faithful news reporter, YTCC News, was able to "trap" down YTCC Trap for a quick interview in his busy schedule. Wait no more -- Meet YTCC Trap! YTCC News: Roughly, when did you join YT? YTCC Trap: I joined towards the end of last summer. I guess you could say that I'm almost at my 1 year anniversary. YTCC News: What kinds of things do you like to do in YT besides Chat? YTCC Trap: When I don't have to much to do, sometimes I wander down to the Top Ten List. It is amazing what some members can think up. :) YTCC News: Has YT changed your computing experience at all, and if so, how? YTCC Trap: It sure did! I gained the ability to make Smileys. *<};^) Isn't that one cool? YTCC News: When did you get your first computer? YTCC Trap: I received my first computer when I was about 8, it was an AT&T 6300 WGS. The UPS driver just dumped it in the mud on the side of the house to let us find it. After removing it from the dirt with a crowbar, my computer involvement just grew from there. YTCC News: What other computing experiences do you have and do besides the online communications/usage? YTCC Trap: During the summer, I spend most of my time playing around with graphics and doing photo retouching. Smile! [ o*] ::Click:: YTCC News: What other hobbies do you have outside of YT and computing? YTCC Trap: I have a few strange hobbies. One of them is growing Carnivorous Plants. I have a little of everything, from Huntsmen's Horns, to Sundews, To Venus Fly Traps, and to Nepenthes. YTCC News: If you could be CEO of one of the big major computing companies out there - which would it be and why? YTCC Trap: CompuServe... Nawww just Joking. :) I would love to be the CEO of Sun Microsystems. They are one of the few companies who is actually taking a stand against Microsoft. You never know if a few years you might be on a Sun OS yourself. :) YTCC News: What's one or two things you'd like to see in the future come in the way of computing technology? YTCC Trap: I would love to see a huge advancement in the graphics and animation area of computers. I would also like to see download times reduced through faster compress and technology.
