Windows XP is the next version of Microsoft's Windows operating system, and
this version has a large number of improvements over all past versions of
Windows. We got our hands on a copy of the XP Preview version, and here's what
we think are some of the major features and improvements!
This preview will show you some of the changes in this new version of
Windows, and some of the new features that have been added as well.
Many online catalog sites are already accepting pre-orders for Windows XP,
both retail and upgrade versions. The Upgrade price for the Home Edition of
Windows XP appears to be priced at $99.95. That price seems to be fixed, no
matter who ya buy it from. The Upgrade price for the Professional Edition of
Windows XP is priced at $199.95.
There are some minor features that are not covered here, such as the Windows
Movie Maker - a very basic tool for creating simple movie files, and the Files
and Settings transfer wizard, which lets you transfer your various view and
display settings from another version of Windows to Windows XP.
So sit back, relax, and prepare yourself for the next generation of the
Windows Operating System...
