How to get rid of new programs
installed being highlighted in your start menu:
Go to the Control Panel>>Taskbar
and Start menu>>
On the Start menu tab click on Customize and then go to the
Advanced tab and uncheck the highlight new programs box Click on
Ok Apply and Ok again.
You can also right click on Start
choose properties and then customize and follow the steps from
there.
