If a program says that you need to restart your computer, but then
doesn't do it for you, here's a way to speed up the restart:
1. Go to the START button and click it.
2. Choose Shut Down.
3. Click on RESTART THE COMPUTER
4. While holding the LEFT SHIFT (it won't work with the right shift
key),
click the YES button. The screen will clear, and Windows
will restart without rebooting.
However, if an install program makes changes to your CONFIG.SYS
or AUTOEXEC.BAT, then you will need to do a complete restart, and
not just a quick one.
