A
little used command in Win9x lets you adjust icon spacing
for the Desktop and for folder and Explorer windows. Right
click on the Desktop and select Properties/Appearance.
Note the starting number, then click on the down arrow
under Item and select Icon Spacing (vertical). Adjust the
size down (makes icons closer together) or up (moves them
farther apart). Click on Apply to check your
adjustments;
check on a folder window and on the Desktop. Repeat the
Steps for icon spacing (Horizontal). Horizontal and Vertical
spacing affect each other, so keep fine tuning until it's just
right.
