Set the correct image type,
resolution and scaling before you
scan. If you have single color line art (even if it isn't black
and
white), scan it as line art. Scan black and white photos as gray
scale to generate smaller files. A resolution of 75 dots per
inch
to 100dpi is enough for most laser printed photographs.
