To: MacOS Classic 9 or later Here's yet another secret
"easter egg" in the Finder. It seems that this
particular version
of it works only in MacOS 9 and later (but NOT MacOS X).
Unlike the older
easter eggs from the Finder (The Iguana Flag,
etc), this one doesn't let you DO anything, but is cool anyway.
Just like the previous ones, hold down the Option Key, and under
the Apple
Menu, select
"About The Finder" (this will be where it normally
says "About This Computer"). It will display a
picture, and after a
few seconds, start to scroll the names of the people who
helped
to make the Finder*. It scrolls the credits from the most recent
version all the way back to the beginning days in 1982 (and even
the Lisa Desktop Management Design Team).
Useless Trivia: That
picture is Apple's Headquarters located at 1
Infinite Loop, Cupertino, CA.
*In MacOS Classic
version 9.2.1, it simply scrolls a "thank you"
message to all the people at Apple. It does not scroll the pro-
grammers names.
