Question:

No sound. Re-installed Win95, replaced sound card, switched its location with scanner card on motherboard, still no sound, no sound listed in control panel, even after reloading Win95. Somewhere it tells me that a dl.16 (?) command is missing, ordered a new cd-rom 2 try that. When computer starts, while it's running its checks, it says, "MWAVE 0034: Problem initializing the Manager' and 'MWGames-Sound Blaster emulation disabled". Can you help me?

Answer:

This sounds very much like you have a hardware problem with your sound card. The "MWAVE 0034: Problem initializing the Manager'' sounds like the computer trying to
communicate with the sound card and not finding it.
This could always be down to a conflict, but for it not to work when you have moved the sound card around and for Windows not to detect it at all it is unlikely.
To check this you should get your sound card professionally looked at and explain to them the problem that you are having.
