Question:
Trying to get more hard disk space: would like to get rid of many big programs like PB Navigator and other never used things. Just acquired Windelete 97, but am advised that it is dangerous to delete things because they may contain important material. Win95's Add/Remove doesn't list most of the programs I'd like to delete. Need direction!
Answer:
The files used by those custom programs (i.e. Packard Bell Navigator)
are usually contained in the directory/folder that contains the program. However, the space gained by removing those programs is usually minimal. I would recommend not deleting them, only because you won't be getting too much back. Uninstaller programs can never get rid of every file, or can remove files that are needed by other programs, therefore causing more damage than good. And the reason that those programs aren't on the Add/Remove control panel is because Packard Bell puts them on themselves.
