Question:
I have located several sites that offer Windows desktop themes. I am curious as to how I implement a downloaded theme on my desktop.
Answer:
Desktop themes require Microsoft Plus to automatically set up the theme. Download the theme, and unzip it to a temporary directory. There should be a Theme file, which contains all info as to how the theme should be installed. Right-clicking the file should provide the option to install the theme. Should the install routine not work, just copy the files to the directory where you installed Microsoft Plus. Next time you run the Desktop Theme control panel, the theme should be listed among the available ones.
