Failed to Parse HTTP with IE 4.0

Question:

I recently installed IE4, but when browsing the web, I get the error FAILED TO PARSE HTTP - Your request does not appear to be properly formed.

Answer:

The solution to this is a simple one. Open the Internet control panel (Start button > Settings > Control Panel > Internet) and click the Advanced tab. You will see a list of settings for you to change. The setting you want to fix the error is all the way at the bottom. The option Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections needs to be unchecked to get rid of the error.
