CD Rom Is Missing mscd001?

Question:
My CD-ROM is missing some thing called mscd001.

Answer:
This error is received when your CD-ROM device driver is not present in the computer's memory. This could happen because of an error loading the driver, or the driver not being there to load. Open the file C:\CONFIG.SYS in a text editor (Notepad, EDIT, etc.) and look for a line that looks something like:
DEVICE=CDROM.SYS
If you see a line that looks like it, then restart your computer and see if any other error messages appear. If you don't, then you need to consult your CD-ROM manual for information on how to install the driver.
