Mac Help Printers

My computer say the printer port is busy, but it is not.

Question:

Error message says printer port is busy. It isn't.

Answer:

Okay what we can do is troubleshoot :-) If you want to give a more detailed description of the problem that would help a bunch!

It does however think the printer port is in use (assuming this is a word processing program such as ClarisWorks or SimpleText). Please follow the steps below and let's see if it works out!

• Goto your Apple Menu >> Chooser.
• Click on the icon of your printer (name listed below)
• Click on AppleTalk "Inactive"
• Click on the PRINTER ICON when you select a printer port.
• Than hit the SETUP button and choose your printer model
• Hit OK and Close up the Chooser.
• Now Restart your computer and you should be set!
