The Windows Control Panel
is where you will be able to troubleshoot, view
different hardware and general system properties and make
changes to
various settings, In Windows XP the default view when you
go to the control
panel looks something like this.....
If you have used previous versions of Windows, you know that the
Control Panel looked nothing like this. If you prefer a much
simpler approach to the
Control Panel click on "switch to Classic View" from the box on
the left. You
will then see your old familiar looking control panel which
should look something like this...
You may have some different options in your control panel, and
you might not have some that I have here... Over the next
few weeks we will try and
go over the default things in the Control Panel that most users
should have.
This week we will go over the Taskbar and Start Menu.
NOTE: I am using Windows XP Pro for these tutorials, though most
things
I'm going to cover should apply to the Home version as well.
