Display Properties
Appearances Tab: From this
tab you may customize windows appearance.

The first drop down menu determines whether your computer will use
Windows XP or Windows Classic Style. A preview of your select will
show in the window above. Windows also comes with a few pre-loaded
XP Color Schemes to choose from: Blue, Olive-Green or Silver.
Below you may also choose your font size.

The Effects Button: Choose a transition for opening menus and
displaying tooltips, or turn the feature off entirely. Also a
feature for smoothing fonts. It's recommended you leave this
feature on standard unless using a Laptop in which case Clear Type
is designed for. Various other options and their checkboxes are
below.

The Advanced Appearances Button: Allows you to determine specific
colors, fonts and sizes for various windows aspects. The available
items are in the drop down list with their colors, fonts and sizes
displaying below them once selected. For example, you want your
icons, system wide to be in Verdana 10pt Bold. No problem, just
scroll through the drop down list to Icon, select Verdana font,
adjust the size, select the font style and voila, all set. Feel
free to experiment! |
