Customizing Your Windows XP
Start Menu Part 2

The last section I have labeled is your Start Menu Items. In this section, you’ll be able to make your My Computer, My Documents, My Music, Network Connections, Recently Used Documents, Control Panel, Search, and other items available. To do so, we’ll have to open up your Start Menu Properties. To open your Start Menu properties, right-click your taskbar and choose Properties from the menu that appears. You’ll be presented with a window that looks something like the window below.


 
Click on the tab labeled “Start Menu” at the top of this window, and you’ll be presented with a window that looks like the one below.


To begin customizing the Start Menu, click the “Customize” button to the right of “Start Menu”.
