Mouse Settings:
Did you know that you can change your mouse from being a
right handed mouse to being a left handed one? You can even
change the click speed of your mouse and much more. In the
windows control panel there is a mouse icon, if you click
this you should see something like the graphic above. (note:
You may see different options and settings, depending on the
mouse you are using. For this tutorial I am just using a
standard basic mouse.)
Buttons:
The first screen you will see is the buttons screen.
Here you can change your mouse from the default Right handed
mouse
to a left handed mouse simply by checking the Left handed
button.
This will switch the buttons to function the opposite of
what they do as a right handed mouse. Simply meaning the Left
button will be used for context menu, and special
dragging... all the things you normally would do with the
right button... and the Right button will be used for normal
select normal drag... making it easier if you prefer to have
your mouse on the left.
You can also change the the time that is allowed between
your first
click to the second click, in order for it to be considered
a double click. Inexperienced users may find it easier
to slide the bar to the left to allow more time between each
click. You can test the setting you've chosen, in the
box on the right by double clicking on the little Jack in
the box picture. Cool huh?
