Once you've setup and connected to YT mIRC you're all
set to chat!
There are some added menus in this version of mIRC.
For starters, there's the YT Bar, the Channel Popup and the Nickname
popup.
Below
are examples of how to use each.
To
access a menu, such as the YT Bar, simply
click
and select the item you wish to activate.

Once you activate the menu, you can
then choose what you'd like to select. If you wanted to join #techchat
you'd select Join Channel then a sub menu would appear - from
there select Join #TechChat and you would be placed in the
channel. You can also set yourself as away by click the Set Away
menu then selecting an Away message or using one of your own. If
you wanted to change your nickname, you'd select the Change nick
option. A box would pop up and you'd type your name then select
Ok. |

To activate this menu, right click
on a person's nickname. From this menu you can start a Person 2
Person chat (P2P), ignore someone, unignore someone, send macros
to the room, or send sounds to the room A macro is just a
colorful little line that sends to the room with the nickname of
the person you right clicked on. There's also a drop down list
of sounds to choose from. |

To activate this menu, right click
inside the chat room. This menu offers similar options as
the other two. |
